Oliver Jeffers is from Belfast. Mac Premo is from New York. In January 2002 Mac spent 9 days visiting Oliver in Belfast. 9 days in Belfast was a joint exhibition of their artwork based on the nine concentrated days of Mac’s visit and nine selected days of Oliver’s upbringing - a collaboration of two differing perspectives of one place.
Oliver Jeffers' artwork is primarily about telling stories, using words, colour and pictures to become the tools of his narration. Mac Premo combines found and created object and investigates the relationship between their intended and personal meaning.
Jeffers & Sons worked closely with the two artists to help curate an exhibition and catalogue of their work.
